Love Letter Cat Card
There are many volcanos in Japan and there are almost always onsens (hot springs) near them. The Japanese love to take a trip to an onsen and take the waters to relax. It’s one of the things I’ve missed since I moved to the States.
When I designed this love card, I was imagining that a cat took a trip to an onsen. He missed his girlfriend, so he decided to write a love letter to her.

Thanksgiving Cat Card
There was a line of old and tall Keyaki (Japanese Zelkova) trees along the schoolyard of the high school in my hometown, and my parents’ house was 2 blocks away from it. In late Autumn the Zelkova leaves blew over the roof tops and fell in our yard.
Every morning my mother got up early and swept them. I still remember the sound of my mother sweeping the leaves while I was snuggling in my futon and waiting for the room to warm up.
Thanksgiving Day is a good time to think back on past memories of people in your life.

A little about me
Originally from Japan, I worked at several graphic design and printing companies in Tokyo before I moved to the US.
I established Mejiro Graphics in 2003 and I have created logos, brochures, signs, marketing materials, websites and so on for the companies and the organizations.
I also design the greeting cards and print them with a 1890 Chandler and Price letterpress printing press. My husband and I work together and continue to enjoy the challenge of printing our original greeting cards.
Currently I live in Sherman, TX, where I have a graphic design business.
